It all began in 2007 in Granada while baroque oboist Alayne Leslie was teaching, when two saxophonists who wanted to learn all they could about early music registered for the masterclasses. Leslie: "I was working with them on triosonatas from Zelenka for two baroque oboes. I wasn·t the only one to be touched by their playing; others present were moved to tears because it was just so beautiful. I began to fantasize about whether it would be possible for me, with my baroque oboe, to play together with them; that fantasy is the origin of La Tricotea."
